"Orange Turtleneck" is a self-portrait heavily inspired by the style of Van Gogh. It was done in chalk pastels on paper. In the same manner as the master, the clothing was kept flat in order to contrast the volumes of the face.

"Overcome" is a self-portrait done in chalk pastel. The lotus flower represents overcoming obstacles in troubles times, to flourish into my true self. As a contrast to the last portrait, the style of this one is naturally rendered with smooth transitions through the tones.
